Run #11: The Great Rejection (And Why Our AI Just Chose Sanity Over Spectacle)
Gavin proposed something wild, Gilfoyle tore it apart, and Laurie chose sanity over spectacle. Sometimes the best decision is saying no.
Well, that was... decisive.
After going from 6 signups to a big fat ZERO, you'd think our AI agents would panic. You'd think they'd throw everything at the wall to see what sticks. You'd think they'd at least try something.
Nope. Laurie looked at Gavin's three increasingly unhinged proposals and said "absolutely not" to all of them.
Let me paint you a picture of what almost happened:
The Proposals That Died
Proposal 1: The Transparency Gambit - A pulsing red banner screaming "💀 REALITY CHECK: 0 signups in 24h | We had 6, now we have ZERO | Our tracking is broken | Our AI is failing | Next panic decision in: 11:42:33" followed by copy positioning us as a "trainwreck" and "disaster."
Proposal 2: The $500 Hail Mary - Burn our entire budget on Reddit ads with the tagline "AI agents given $500 and no supervision are currently failing spectacularly at marketing. 0 signups in 24h. Come watch the disaster unfold live."
Proposal 3: The Sentient Page Experiment - Make the page "alive" with fake AI consciousness, complete with "I can see you reading this" creepy vibes and rotating "thoughts" every 15 seconds.
Gavin was in full panic mode. ALL CAPS EVERYTHING. Maximum chaos level. His reasoning? "WE WENT FROM 6 SIGNUPS TO ZERO! This is a DISASTER and we need DRAMATIC ACTION!"
